Tanja Coffee
Founder & Owner of speedSERVE LLC
My name is Tanja Coffee, founder and owner of speedSERVE LLC. Originally from Germany, I have called Polk County, Florida home since 2018.
My path to becoming a process server began long before speedSERVE was established. I spent more than thirteen years working in the legal field as a Legal Secretary and Paralegal, including positions with internationally recognized law firms White & Case and Cleary Gottlieb. That experience gave me an understanding of the legal profession from the law firm's side — including the importance of deadlines, communication, accuracy, confidentiality, and dependable support.
In 2022, I became a Certified Process Server for Florida's Tenth Judicial Circuit and founded speedSERVE LLC in Lakeland. Since then, I have personally completed more than 7,000 services of process.

A Background in Research & Locating People
My experience also includes many years of research involving difficult-to-locate individuals.
From 2005 through 2011, I worked as a researcher and translator for a German heir-tracing company, specializing in locating missing heirs in the United States.
I have also volunteered for several years as a Search Angel for GI Babies Germany e.V., a nonprofit organization that assists people searching for biological family connections involving children born to German mothers and American servicemen, including cases dating back to the World War II era.
This research background has given me valuable experience in following information, evaluating leads, and approaching difficult searches methodically — skills that complement my work when handling difficult-to-serve defendants and legitimate locate research connected with active process-service assignments.

More Than Delivering Documents
My years working inside law firms taught me that service of process is not simply about delivering papers. Every assignment is part of a larger legal matter, and the attorney, paralegal, client, and court may all depend on accurate information about what happened in the field.
That perspective is a major part of how I operate speedSERVE today. I believe in clear communication, thorough documentation, persistence when an assignment becomes difficult, and treating every matter professionally — whether it comes from a large law firm, a solo attorney, a business, or a self-represented individual.
Although speedSERVE has grown from a local Lakeland process-serving company into a business capable of coordinating assignments throughout Florida, I want clients to continue receiving the personal attention and accountability of working with a locally operated company.
Beyond speedSERVE
Outside of work, I am a mother of four and enjoy reading, riding my motorcycle, and growing my succulent garden. Those who know me know that I enjoy a challenge — whether that means tracking down information for a difficult assignment or simply finding room for one more succulent.
